Dante By the Lake

It was a cloudless night, the creatures of the night were just about to stir, and the crickets and cicadas had just begun to rehearse for their nightly symphony. Small chirps and cricks could be heard from the forest, as a lone bull frog voiced his indignation through deep throated croaks. Fireflies slowly began rising from the earth, hundreds of them twinkling merrily from across the lake. Silent, like sparks from a fire, rising into the deep, ebony night sky. Bending down to cup water in his paws, Dante sat down beside the lake. Enjoying the cool air against his fur, as he watched the night began alive around him. An owl hooted, his ear twitched and he looked back to see a large, beautiful barn owl swoop down a few meters away to capture a squealing mouse. You can see him above as he turned back, with a grim, bitter smile on his face. The world went round, and so did life. Both for the owl, and the mouse. As he stared at his reflection, right beside the moon, as the distant flutterings of bats could be heard in the distance. Predator and play, had come out to play their mortal game of tag for the night.

I love this image, I absolutely adore it. I've been needing something like this for my fursona for a long time.
